Jian Huang

Jian Ming Huang received a Bachelor of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He was awarded Kohn Pedersen Fox Traveling Fellowship in 2010.

Jian is the co-founder and design director of Start Architects. He has worked in the offices of Griffin Enright Architects and Oylerwu collaborative. In addition to architectural practice, Jian has taught architectural design lab in Pasadena City College in Los Angeles, exploring the relation of architectural form, force, and materiality. He is currently teaching first and second year architectural design studios in the International Program of Design and Architecture in Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.

Jian is licensed architect in the states of California and Wisconsin, USA.
